College Guidance

Kumon Leysin Academy of Switzerland (KLAS) has two college guidance counsellors - one for Japanese universities and one for non-Japanese universities. The counsellors are responsible for advising students in college selection and placement. Students may also participate in various college fairs and college classes to familiarize themselves with admission requirements and procedures. Furthermore, representatives from colleges and universities around the world visit KLAS to recruit out students.

There are three tracks to the college guidance system:
Track 1: for students who intended to apply to Japanese universities
Track 2: for students who intended to apply to non-Japanese universities
Track 3: for students have not yet decided where they intend to study and wish to continue getting guidance in both tracks.

This guidance starts in the tenth grade, and it continues even after students have graduated. The academic department also liaises with college guidance departments to ensure that students choose suitable and realistic elective courses.

The Japanese college guidance department also deals with the correspondence program of Japanese universities and mock college entrance exams. The non-Japanese college guidance department also arranges Summer Abroad Program and ACT testing.
